Perth based artist Matty T Wall, who describes himself as “an elastic band pulled really tight, ready to go” followed band such as Metallica in his youth and recognised their blues influences and aspired to reach their level.
Now, as a master of the guitar, he draws inspiration from his studies of flamenco, swing jazz and funk. He plays his custom 1961 Les Paul in such a way that makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up to attention.
The ‘Blue Skies’ single showcases his creative playing through the wonderfully detailed virtuosic inflections he decorates his music with. As observed by Geoff Scott, “One of the best blues guitarists that I have ever witnessed. ” from the White Star, Albany.
