Father and Son duo Uneven Stevens have had a rollercoaster of a ride already, and they’ve only just started their journey. Richard Stevens was made redundant from his job last summer, and only found himself a brand-new job thanks to son Oscar. Oscar wrote a song asking for employers to look beyond CV’s and personal statements, and at the person instead. Titled ‘Paper Me’, the indie track was written by Oscar and performed alongside his dad.
Taking the story worldwide and making the headlines in your neck of the woods, ‘Paper Me’ went viral. Hitting the newspapers and online publications such as The Metro, The Sun, The Star; Channel 5 News and Radio across the globe, it’s warming to her such a powerful story get the recognition that it truly deserves.
‘Paper Me’ is a necessity. Filled with passion and a vital message to employers across the world, the story behind the track encourages bosses to look past the CV at who’s behind the paper. Hearing the track and making it his newfound role to interview everyone who had sent him a job application, Tim Coutts hired Richard.
