One of the most exciting acts to arise from the UK metal scene, UK Metal Merger is the brainchild of music producer Mark Mynett. Seeing eighteen UK Metal musicians – including members of Cradle Of Filth, My Dying Bride, Iced Earth, Winterfylleth, Kill II This, Xentrix, Divine Chaos, Krysthla and Pythia – remotely writing and performing collaboratively on exceptional new single, ‘In Solitude’.
Due for release May 7th, the track’s aim is to highlight the impact of COVID lockdowns on the live music industry. You have many people talking about how it’s affect musicians’ livelihoods, but no one’s talking about the rest of the industry. From roadies, to sound engineers, to drivers and venue staff – everyone has been affected by this turbulent times.
A sensational release that’s best played loud, ‘In Solitude’ stands up as a clear statement that metal will never go down without a fight. Emotive in places due to the tough subject, ‘In Solitude’ is utterly breathtaking in its cause and needs to be heard.
