Rock trio Boy Breaking Glass is back again to release their new album “Desolations”. This album features eight tracks that infuse heavy rock sound, electric bass and synth, and intense vocals. The group consists of Lead Vocalist and Bassist Joe Mantell, Guitar and Synth player Rob Leishman, and Drummer Dimitar Karabov, and together they produce a fantastic sound.
The group identifies with their sound being dark and intense, and the name Boy Breaking Glass is from a poem written by Gwendolyn Brooks. They also have a remarkable global presence with the trio based in British Columbia, Canada. Each member is from a different country, lead singer Joe is from England, guitarist Rob is from Canada, and drummer Dimitar is from Bulgaria.
Here is what Boy Breaking Glass have to say about the album: “We are three totally ordinary people that when we get together to collaborate, work incredibly hard to get the details right, to push ourselves into musical spaces that we haven’t been in before and to be absolutely obsessive about creating. We started work on ‘Desolations’ in 2018, and explored many different options when it came to deciding on the format, but in the end, eight songs were selected. They examine the destructive impulse within all of us, our collective madness and the recognition of what we have forgotten about ourselves.”
