Released on April 23rd, 2021, “Huntress” is one of Aurelia Dey’s newer tracks, along with her most recent track, “Dj Pull Up”. This track focuses on female empowerment as Dey identifies herself as a womanist and seeks to empower women everywhere. Her style centres on her Ghanian-Swede heritage and focuses on that sound to create upbeat feel-good dance tunes. As of recently, with her music, she has been taking advantage of this sound.
“Huntress” is a fitting title for the intense and powerful track as the artist sings, “Yes, you can call me Katniss or Xena warrior princess, if you don’t come over here, I will hunt you down with the spear, grown woman have no fear”. Dey states that women are powerful and individually capable of achieving anything. Women have no fear; women have no limits.
