Together in Musical Expression, better known as T.I.M.E., is an Essex-based charity that strives to bring music to everyone, regardless of musical experience or ability.
Founded by Marc Barnacle, T.I.M.E. works to provide a variety of music-based products, workshops, and services to help people develop confidence in themselves and their musical skills. More importantly, this organization works to help people’s motor and speech development.
“We regularly meet individuals who are non-verbal, or struggle to communicate their feelings to friends and family. But once an instrument is placed in front of them, they suddenly acquire a whole range of moods and emotions to share with the world. It’s this ability to communicate and express, which music enables, that excites us, provides that elating feeling, and drives us forward” – T.I.M.E.
Last year, T.I.M.E. partnered with Strange Pill, a cutting-edge audio-visual artist, to develop a pop-up space in which people could create music and upload it online in an interactive exhibit. Now, T.I.M.E. and Strange Pill are working on a global exhibition that would allow people to create their own musical loops made by the people T.I.M.E. has worked with.
The goal of this latest project is to get people from all around the world to actualize their musical potential and create their own creative works via their own musical fusions. Regardless of ability or prior experience, T.I.M.E. and Strange Pill encourage people to get involved and create something meaningful and worthwhile!
