Michael Tinholme, the man with the silky, jazzy voice, has done it again with the his latest recorded work, “Lullaby for Our Daughters,” which is scheduled to be released sometime in the winter of 2022 on an album called Paramount Sessions. This song in particular was written by Mike Garson and Nnenna Freelon with Tinholme being responsible for its beautiful arrangement. This track, along with the rest of Paramount Sessions features Tinholme alongside the Band of Legends. The Band of Legends consists of Mike Garson on piano, Edwin Livingston on bass, Gary Novak on drums, Mike Miller on guitar, Billy Steinway on keyboards, and Steve Rawlins conducting the group. It goes without saying that Tinholme is featured on vocals for this album.
“Lullaby for Our Daughters” is an especially important work of music for Tinholme and the Band of Legends because it serves as a celebration of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month.

“Lullaby for Our Daughters” is a mix of a ballad while maintaining its status as a universal call for peace among everyone in the world. In classic jazz fashion, Tinholme begins the tune with his sleek vocals until the members of the Band of Legends gracefully solo. Tinholme’s intimate voice returns after the solos to close out this powerful and increasingly timely song.
