JD Days, the emerging artists trying to bring together people from all over the world, recently released their next big hit, “Say Yes To Love,” on March 4th. JD Days is able to bridge a gap between the rock and pop worlds, especially on their latest quintessential rock anthem release. Excited to be back performing live, JD Days has been active in the gig circuit and even has plans to release an album, called Originals Only, during the summer of 2022.
“Say Yes To Love” opens with something that a typical rock anthem listener probably would not expect: a violin-piano duet that sounds right out of the Classical era. The duet does not last too long with a drum-fill signaling in the guitar, bass, and vocals that dominate the track. The song’s motivational choruses and verses help to elevate the listener to a place of action in wanting to promote this hopeful ideal of peace and, at the perfect moment after the elevation, an uplifting guitar solo ensues. Everything about “Say Yes To Love” is perfectly timed that ensures the best possible listening experience one could ask for in a rock anthem.
Focusing on the lyrics of “Say Yes To Love,” the message is quite simple but nonetheless powerful and inspiring to hear. The first lines of the song after the duet intro are “We breathe the same air/ We feel the same sun/ We all make choices and sometimes we get ‘em wrong/ You won’t
solve nothing with the barrel of a gun.” Right away, the listener knows what the song is going to be about but the vocal melody and tone of the vocals themselves keep the listener engaged and wanting more.
