Previously releasing two albums under the stage name Friends of John’s, Gerber is redefining his sound after a five-year break from the music industry. Exploring new influences and a changed outlook, ‘Noon to Nine’ EP contains flexible melodies and music that combined genres rock, indie, and dance-pop while also paying a prominent homage to R.E.M.
Working with skilled producer Shai Saadia on the latest release, the two are at home with each-other in the studio as they have been making music together for over twenty years. Achieving a unique soundscape paired with meaningful lyrics and a powerful vocal delivery, Yoav Gerber has produced some of his finest work within this new EP.
Gerber has recently released ‘Somewhere in Bretagne’ on August 30th and has now announced that ‘Inspirational Song #12’, and ‘What Kind of Day Has It Been’ is scheduled for release on December 1st.
