After touring for three years, Doolin is back with a new release in the form of a new album entitled ‘Circus Boy’ which was released on all streaming platforms at the beginning of march 2023.
Touring across the US has been one of the best experiences for Doolin and has built up a strong following for the band. Combining Irish and Celtic influences, the band started writing the album while on tour in 2019. The new album ‘Circus Boy’ also features the leading single ‘Darkest Way’ which is accompanied by a music video. The music video is set in a circus tent where the band reenact a live performance of the leading track. In the background of the music video actors in clown costumes and circus props are seen dancing around the band.

The new album has developed from Doolin’s last which was released in 2016 and mainly incorporated traditional irish music influences alongside American roots music. Stepping up from their previous release, the new album ‘Circus Boy’ shows great development and creative artistry.
