An acoustic album that delivers on all artistic platforms, Jasper’s Riddle is due to release his debut album on 21st February. With genre-spanning music and his vocation as a heart surgeon, the journey of Jasper’s Riddle is certainly a distinctive one.
The sound of the album is that of acoustic bliss, combined with smooth, calming vocals and an atmospheric depth of instrumentals provided by the inclusion of equipment like Focusrite and BiasFx, that masks the music’s one-man reality.
The album is a soundtrack against the accompanying artwork and presents a relationship between each self-contained track that culminates into a storybook. The album presents an interactive element in the inclusion of individual character themes and melodies that are introduced into certain tracks that you will hear repeated throughout the album.
The artwork that accompanies the album is based in surrealism, with absurdity being the frontal theme -such as Jasper’s Riddle cover art that is of a boy with the shadow of a cat trying to solve a rubix cube. These absurd elements can be found as “easter eggs” placed throughout the videos, such as the rubix cube in the music video for ‘Tuyo’ – an interacting aspect that makes the unorthodox experience of the album unique.
